Since our products are all handmade, and most often created by individual artist studios in collaboration with our designer, there will be slight differences in each piece; we feel this adds to the value and beauty of the handicraft. It is not unusual to find only one of a particular item available in our inventory, as we do not use any kind of mass production or “stamped out” processes. You are also helping to fund a social program in Nepal to provide education for young girls, and supplying "seed money" to new entrepreneurs, primarily women. Furthermore, our mission is to provide small, home-based manufacturers a global venue for marketing their goods, while at the same time offering an incentive for the younger generation of artisans to continue using the old skills that have been passed down through the years. While we encourage and experiment with newer, more modern designs, our philosophy and goal is to ensure that the beauty and integrity of traditional Nepalese arts are maintained.

We are enthusiastic about bringing the stories, beliefs, and symbolism behind the jewelry and handicrafts into the public sector. Our trade fairs showcase a Learning Center to give our clients further insight into our products. Oftentimes, one family may specialize in a particular style reflecting Buddhism or Hinduism, and this becomes their trademark skill. The techniques employed in production are carefully guarded and cherished by the artists, and Sangrila Nepal is proud to be associated with these exceptionally talented people.
