Sangrila Nepal is a manufacturing and distributing company established in 2004 to encourage the traditional arts and crafts of Nepal. We work to promote the local and export markets for a variety of handmade articles. Our challenge is to offer a platform to bring these attractive and unique products into an expanding global marketplace, while at the same time generating employment for low-income families and micro-entrepreneurs in the rural and urban areas of Nepal. We are proud to be associated with the many incredible and talented people that make up the Sangrila Nepal family of artisans.
• To strengthen the economy of Nepal.
• To offer a means of improving the standard of living of low-income families, who are dependent on handicrafts for their sustenance, by providing a platform for their products.
• To develop local and international markets for traditional Nepalese arts and crafts, and in so doing not only foster growth, but also support and preserve the skills which have been passed down from generation to generation.
Sangrila Nepal provides mini-grants to assist aspiring entrepreneurs, most of them women. We also support educational opportunities for children through a variety of methods. This program is funded through SN sales, as well as interested and committed private sponsors.
